Nightwish – one of the world’s leading symphonic metal bands and Finland’s most successful music export.
A group founded in 1996. Band’s style was distinguished by female vocals in the form of the operatic voice of Tarja Turunen (first five albums), followed by Anette Olzon (sixth and seventh albums). From 2013, the singer of the band is the Dutch Floor Jansen, who records the group’s albums from the eighth. The music of the group consists of a combination of guitar riffs and orchestrations.
Nightwish is Finland’s most successful band globally, touring prominent arenas around the world and having sold over 10 million albums worldwide. The band’s most recent album ”Human. :||: Nature.” is their ninth studio album.
